People say photography is an art, yet I have a hard time describing myself as an artist. I went to school to become a journalist, and worked in radio and television news before I had kids.
With two busy boys at home, I was looking for a creative outlet and picked up a camera. But I knew this wasn’t just a hobby. For me, it felt like a call back to journalism. I started working for the local school, sharing its “news” through a parent blog, and providing content for social media posts, marketing materials, and the in-house magazine.
Today, the boys are out of the house and it’s time to take this up a notch. If you’re a fan of a photojournalistic style and portraits that look like the real you, I’d love to cover your event, show off your business, or help you out with those headshots.
